Whether you are new to dance and theatre or a professional artist, our weekly workshops are a great way to explore arts practice.

Led by industry professionals, you will develop skills in devised dance and theatre methods, activate new forms of artistic expression, work in a diverse creative environment and have a whole lot of fun doing so.

The weekly workshops are open to the community to explore improvised movement, develop dance skills, activate individual creativity and learn theatre exercises. Interested participants will take part in an end of year sharing. All our Teaching Artists are experienced and qualified to deliver high quality dance and theatre workshops, for a variety of ages and for people with and without disability.

Participants will:

  • Collaborate with professional dancers
  • Explore improvised movement
  • Develop new dance skills
  • Learn theatre-based exercises

The workshops are designed to:

  • Inspire artistic expression
  • Promote individual creativity
  • Build confidence and independence
  • Learn professional devising methods

Unfortunately due to a lack of funding, we are now unable to run our third series of workshops for 2016. We will be issuing a partial refund to all Murmur Members who have already paid for all three series of workshops. We apologise for any inconvenience or upset this may cause.

An in studio sharing open to friends and family will culminate our 2 series of workshops. The participants and teaching artists will share their creative findings and achievements from over the course of 2016.
