“Daniel Monks is an Australian actor, filmmaker & dancer. He was nominated for Best Actor at the 2016 WA Screen Awards. In 2015, he received the Arts Award at the NSW/ACT Young Achiever Awards, and he was awarded the Young Filmmaker of the Year at the 2014 WA Screen Awards.

His short films have screened around the world at 40 film festivals, including three at Palm Springs International ShortFest. He was the lead actor, screenwriter, editor & key producer on the feature film “Pulse”, directed by Stevie Cruz-Martin. He is a graduate of AFTRS, & PAC Screen Workshops where he received the award for Consistent Excellence. He is a performing artist with Murmuration, where he is due to perform the “Bowerbirds” duet film with Dan Daw in 2018, with direction & choreography by Sarah-Vyne Vassallo.

In 2016, he became an Ambassador for Starlight Children’s Foundation.”Daniel is a 2015/2016 company member with Murmuration, fulfilling roles of Artist/Collaborator and Performing Artist.
